Now a days there are messages are
being viral on whatsApp that do not show the wrong immersion of Ganesh Idols as
the international media keep an eye on such immersion which defames India's
rich culture. Is is really an international media is responsible for this
defamation ? Don't we have any responsibility ?
We are taught in journalism that 'a
dog bites man is not a news' but 'man bites a dog is the news.' So News makers of whole world are always on
hunt to find the news where 'man bites a dog'. They go empty handed only when
they don't find such news.
Yes, News makers captures what is
actually happening in the society. But they paint the news with the colour of
their ideology to gain TRP and increase their sale as per the protocol of their
company.
Now it is society's look out what
they want to show to the entire world. Do we want to show the throwing of
Ganesh Idols in the naalaa which we actually do ? Isn't it better to avoid the
celebration if we can not immerse the Idols properly? Why we can not opt for
only puja of the Ganesh which is already in the temple of our homes and avoid
immersion.? Yes, I have opted for it in my home.
We as a society has to change our
mentality and change the pattern of celebration of our festivals. Look at Holi
when it burn in every other gully. If u capture it with Dron camera, it will
look like as the city is on fire. See what amount of carbon we produce in one
night. Isn't it a high time to change rather than to just ask to avoid posting
such videos and photos on social media ?
The world know our Rich culture, and
they also know it's commercialisation and the declined real spirituality. So we
can not make them blind just by avoiding posts on social media. We need to
change. Change is the only constant, isn't it?

Yes, It's time to change our self & think about it. We keep Bappa for ten days with love & respect but after Visarjan of Bappa we can find his idol in Nullhal.
